What to Expect on Your First Visit in San Antonio TX

Chiropractic San Antonio TX What to Expect

Once you make your appointment and arrive at the San Antonio TX chiropractic office, what should you expect?

First off, we get asked often what patients should do to prepare for their first visit. We just ask that your bring a copy of an ID, and your insurance card (if you have one). Some patients like to come wearing workout clothes, but Dr. Foster can get your adjustment in no matter what you are wearing!

Consultation in San Antonio TX

Dr. Foster will begin by going over your paperwork and talking to you about what symptoms you are experiencing and what complaints you have. This is in order to determine if Chiropractic is a good fit for your case.

After reviewing your case, if Dr. Foster deems them necessary, we will proceed with x-rays. X-Rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a spinal condition has been developing.

Dr. Foster will then do a full, comprehensive chiropractic exam. During this time, he will feel how your body is moving and reacting to different stimuli to determine how best to proceed with care.

On your first visit, as long as everything on the x-rays and during the exam checks out, Dr. Foster will give you your first adjustment with us. With this adjustment, you should feel some relief from your symptoms.

Report of Findings

At your follow-up visit (which typically occurs within a day or two of that first visit) Dr. Foster will go over what he found from studying your x-rays and exam. He will also present his customized treatment plan for you. Jordan will then also go over the finances and can work out any sort of payment plan as needed.

Treatment Plan

Although we all wish one adjustment could fix everything, that typically is not the case. After reviewing your x-rays and exam, Dr. Foster comes up with a personalized treatment plan. This treatment plan is set up to give your body time to accept the adjustments and train itself to hold the adjustments over longer periods of time.

We respect our patients’ time, so we aim to be as efficient as possible for the time that you are in the office.
